Orenstein and Hoshen Forms Joint Venture with Racepoint Global

TEL AVIV, September 12, 2019 – Orenstein & Hoshen (OH!), a leading media consultancy firm based in Tel Aviv, today announced a joint venture with Racepoint Global, a communications agency with nine worldwide offices across the world that specializes in technology, healthcare and innovation.

Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, Racepoint has a presence in innovation capitals across the globe, including San Francisco, Washington, DC; Raleigh, London, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Racepoint’s client roster features some of the world’s best-known brands and emerging category disruptors across B2B and B2C technology, health and wellness, life sciences, health IT and biotech. While PR and earned media-first, the agency provides clients with a comprehensive suite of in-house integrated offerings, including strategy & planning, marketing, crisis communications, public affairs, creative strategy, video and content production, influencer activation, paid media, and measurement and analytics.

The partnership will combine the international know-how and local expertise of communications professionals from across Racepoint’s global footprint and Orenstein & Hoshen’s offices in Israel. OH! will provide PR and strategic communications support to companies introduced by Racepoint seeking to locate research and other operations in Israel, acquire Israeli companies, or create partnerships in Israel – most likely in the technology sector. Racepoint will, in turn, support the interests of Israeli companies introduced by OH! seeking to expand to the United States, Europe and China.

OH! Founding Partners Itamar Hoshen and Hedan Orenstein said in a joint statement: "More and more of our clients specializing in technology and medical devices have ambitions that go beyond Israel's borders, to engage international press as well as the Israeli media. We are proud to partner with Racepoint to provide these clients with the highest-level access to markets and services across the world's most important business and technology capitals. We look forward to a collaboration that will produce great value for our companies’ clients both in Israel and abroad."

Racepoint was founded in 2003 by Larry Weber, a globally known expert on public relations, media and marketing services.  In 1987, Larry started his own public relations company, The Weber Group, which within a decade became the world’s largest technology public relations firm. In 1998 he formed Weber Shandwick which became the world’s largest public relations firm. The Interpublic Group of Companies purchased The Weber Group in late 1996, and in early 2000, Larry was named chairman and CEO of Interpublic’s Advanced Marketing Services, a $3 billion unit with 12,000 people, and which included the company’s public relations, research and analytics and entertainment holdings. Over his nearly 40-year career, Larry has authored six books on marketing, technology and business leadership, and counseled leading global brands like ARM, AT&T, Coca-Cola, General Electric, General Motors, IBM, Kaiser Permanente, Microsoft and SAP.

“I am very pleased to have this opportunity to work with Itamar Hoshen and Hedan Orenstein and their colleagues at OH!,” said Larry Weber. “I have been impressed with their early successes in Tel Aviv and look forward to a meaning collaboration between our agencies going forward.”
